High-Level Stakeholder event on EURICS: how best to support the EU’s Jobs and Growth Agenda in the context of the Paris Agreement? - 26 September 2016

[Source: Research & Innovation] An on-line public consultation was conducted from 2 March to 31 May 2016 to gather views on what the priorities should be of the forthcoming Energy Union’s Integrated Research, Innovation and Competitiveness Strategy (EURICS). A total of 243 replies to the quantitative questionnaire were registered from a wide range of stakeholders, including research institutions, universities, private sector, public authorities, business associations and civil society. The respondents set out a number of issues and priorities that should be addressed in the forthcoming strategy, along with proposed actions to be undertaken in these different areas, which in part build on the policy levers available to the European Union: framing the debate on the policy vision, ensuring an innovation friendly regulatory environment and promoting research and innovation of low-carbon solutions in key sectors.
