[Source: Research & Innovation] The High-Level Group of Scientific Advisors, set up in the context of the Scientific Advice Mechanism (SAM) of the European Commission (see http://ift.tt/1PdUGAq), has been tasked by the Commission to provide advice based on scientific evidence on the issue of closing the gap between light duty vehicle real world CO2 emissions and laboratory testing. The advice is due to be delivered in late autumn and will inform the Commission's policy-making in the context of the post-2020 CO2 standards for light-duty vehicles. To gather a large diversity of views on the topic, the High-Level Group is organizing a meeting with policy, industry, civil society and scientific stakeholders which will take place on 15 September 2016, 14:00-17:00 in Brussels.
