Open access, Scientific Publishing and Plan S - 5 February 2019, Brussels, Belgium

[Source: Research & Innovation] In a written statement on 4 September 2018, Carlos Moedas called for a coordinated effort at the European level to make progress in the transition to open access to scientific publications. Plan S is among the numerous initiatives designed to achieve this goal. During this event, we wish to give our speakers and participants a forum to discuss the various implications of Plan S, particularly with regard to the transformation of the traditional scientific publishing model, confronted with the digital revolution and the growing demand for open access to knowledge.
