[Source: Research & Innovation] This showcasing event will bring together high level policy and research stakeholders to discuss the potential impact of collaboration between Europe and India in the Social Sciences and Humanities for research and policy innovation to address global societal challenges. The EU-India Platform for Social Science and Humanities (EqUIP – funded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme under grant agreement 613236) brings together 16 social science and humanities funding and support organisations in Europe and India in order to develop a stronger strategic partnership for multi-lateral research collaboration. The platform has developed a Europe-India strategic research agenda around societal challenges of common European and Indian concern developed through a series of events exploring broad themes around: • Inequalities, growth and place/space • Digital archives and databases as a source of mutual knowledge • Sustainable prosperity, well-being and innovation • Social transformations, cultural expressions, cross-cultural connections and dialogue - Power structures, conflict resolution and social justice.
