[Source: Research & Innovation] The conference is one of the outcomes of a one year study which was requested by the European Parliament, and started in March 2016. The study aims to assess the impact of EU-funded research on poverty-related and neglected diseases (PRNDs) and how it has contributed to achieving universal health coverage and improving the health situation in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The conference aims to discuss and disseminate the PRND study findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and to ensure that the views of key stakeholders are reflected in the final study report. In addition, the conference will discuss how to best link EU research and development policy to ensure a maximal impact.
