FEBS Workshop on Chromatin Proteomics - 3-8 October 2016, Heraklion, Crete, Greece

[Source: Research & Innovation] The goal of this workshop is to foster scientific exchange between scientists working on the chromatin proteome, the dynamic behavior of proteins in the nucleus and the integration and visualization of protein and DNA networks. There will be dedicated sessions on the proteomic analysis of histone modifications, of defined chromosomal domains and of functional proteomics together with sessions on quantitative proteomics, emerging technologies and bioinformatic analysis of large proteomic datasets and their visualization, with lectures given by leading researchers in the field. There will also be two poster sessions and several short oral presentations by junior researchers that will be selected from the abstracts. In addition, major features of the workshop will be the one-on-one “Problem-Solving” sessions where junior researchers can “book” a meeting with one of the expert speakers of the workshop to discuss issues related to their own projects and the «Meet-the-experts-sessions» where three experts in each case will discuss in greater detail technical aspects and challenges in their areas of research. The workshop will also include talks on career development and funding opportunities for junior scientists in Europe and abroad.
