5th European Headache and Migraine Trust International Congress - 15-18 September 2016, Glasgow, United Kingdom

[Source: Research & Innovation] This international event is aimed at neurologists, physicians, scientists, researchers, and healthcare professionals with an interest in migraine and headache disorders. Our four day programme is built on basic and clinical science content. We will be covering the latest available research, therapies, and developments from internationally recognised leaders in the field. Our aim continues to be providing a better understanding of migraine, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias, tension-type headache and other headache disorders. Participants will gather new scientific evidence and understanding that will improve diagnosis and treatment for patients. Poster presentations will continue to be a key feature of EHMTIC 2016 and the programme has been planned to allow ample time for poster viewing and chaired discussions with an emphasis on interaction across all sessions. We will feature the best of our developing researchers in the New Scientist lectures, an opportunity to hear what is happening at the absolute cutting edge. Teaching Courses are scheduled prior to the start of the main programme. They will include offerings focused updates for primary care practitioners and others with special interest in the field of headache, an educational case-based interactive session aimed at clinical staff to update their knowledge and learn about new therapies, and a course aimed at trainees interested in novel techniques and developments in migraine research.
