Harnessing the bioeconomy potential of European regions - 7 June 2017, Brussels, Belgium

[Source: Research & Innovation] The European bioeconomy has the capacity to contribute substantially to green growth, innovation, resource efficiency and sustainable development. As a response to that, in the last years the key objectives of the bioeconomy have been integrated in many European, national and regional strategies, aiming at harnessing the bioeconomy potential. What are the experiences we can share with each other as policy-makers and industry representatives? What are the challenges that regions face and how can we tackle them on regional and European level? ECRN brings together EU representatives and regional public actors, enterprises, research institutes and clusters from different regions for an exchange of views on bioeconomy governance and collaboration practices. The aim of the debate is to identify successful policy initiatives, concrete examples and challenges to be addressed in the future.
